Megalopsy is z1P and Filter, an Argentinian live act
dedicated to the dark and intense side of psychedelic trance formed in 2002 after discovering
electronic music in Buenos Aires. Combining influences from grunge, industrial and nu metal,
Megalopsy uses music as a tool to shape and enhance perception, exploring a wide spectrum of
sound dimensions, materializing it in a dark audible format, ranging from intense night time
psychedelic trance to experimental downtempo.

Their style is unique and powerful, very easy to
recognize in their productions and live performances taking its listeners to a deep psychedelic
journey where demons are faced and new realities are explored.
After their debut album, The Abstract Machine, released by Trishula Records in 2005,
they have opened their way in the local and international scene, proving the potential of the
Latin American and Argentinian psychedelic trance. They have also released tracks in labels such
as Mass Abduction, YSE, Dark Life and Amaris and their label Dark Prisma Records. This lead them
to play in the most important events in Argentina playing with artists such as Sesto Sento, Vibrasphere,
Hujaboy and Neuromotor. They were also invited to play in Brazil, Uruguay, Venezuela and recently Europe,
playing in Germany, Austria, Portugal, Belgium and Czech Republic with artists like Kindzadza, Whicked Hayo,
Chromatone and Hydraglyph.
Filter and z1P are very active in their local scene promoting parties, music and psychedelic
culture. In 2005 they noticed a lot of new artists were appearing so they decided to start
Dark Prisma Records, a label created to promote argentinian and latin american artists.
Together with Transition Records they released the first argentinian psychedelic trance
compilation called Amalgama and recently, The Nordland Orchestra, the debut album of the
solo project of z1P called Frantic Noise. Both of the releases had very good reviews around
the world where the creative and original style of this duo was not unnoticed.
Megalopsy will be on tour in Mexico from November to December. Currently they are
working on new tracks and thew new album which is scheduled to be released on 2007.
